Civil Engineer and Geo-technical Engineer

Rashid Ahmad is founding board member and CEO of PRF.  Professionally, he is a registered Civil Engineer and Geo-technical Engineer, with M.S. (Eng) and M. Eng. degrees. After 37 years of distinguished service as an engineer, specializing in dams, earthquake safety, hydraulic structures, and project management, he retired as Supervising Engineer and Program Manager. Beyond engineering, he has helped establish several community-driven organisations. Guided by a lifelong commitment to education, health, and service to humanity, he continues to empower institutions and nurture lasting change.

Educationist

Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq currently serves as Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies at The University of Faisalabad, Pakistan. He completed his undergraduate degree in 1985 and earned his MS in 1988. He received professional training in Marketing from Colorado State University, USA, and went on to complete his PhD in Australia in 1995. In 2006, he pursued postdoctoral studies at Laval University, Canada. Dr. Ashfaq has served as a consultant for various national and international organizations. He has been honored with the TWAS Associateship Award and the Australian Alumni Excellence Award for Innovation and Research. Over the course of his academic career, he has supervised 14 PhD scholars and more than 150 MS, M.Phil, and MSc students.

He is the author or co-author of five books, 14 book chapters, and over 100 peer-reviewed research papers. He also serves as editor or section editor for several academic journals. Dr. Ashfaq has successfully led or co-led 32 research projects funded by national and international agencies. In addition to his academic contributions, he is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives and is currently dedicated to projects focused on the empowerment of female orphans.

Social Worker/ Visual Artist

Asma Tariq (position) is a conceptual/visual artist with Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Punjab, Lahore. Her work explores the emotional impact of colour and light in nature. She is a passionate advocate for social justice, drawn to the transformative power of social work to empower individuals and communities. Being the founder of “Sisters’ Welfare Society” since 2010, she is equipped with strong communication and problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations. She is particularly interested in women empowerment and development. Her dedication aligns with the values of “People’s Reach Foundation”. She is eagerly leveraging her skills to support the organisation’s mission, vision and values.

I am Dr. Jawad Tariq, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of PRF. By profession, I am a Urologist at Allied Hospital Faisalabad, pursuing FCPS in Urology. Alongside my clinical career, I have remained actively engaged in community health initiatives, with a particular focus on preventive awareness, screening programs, and accessible treatment for widespread conditions such as Hepatitis B and C.

My work has centered on organizing health camps, implementing awareness drives, and facilitating affordable healthcare solutions for underprivileged populations. These experiences have strengthened my skills in project design, community outreach, and healthcare management, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to sustainable public health improvement.

As a Board Member of PRF, my vision is to extend these efforts at a broader scale—promoting initiatives in healthcare, education, and social welfare that create long-term impact and empower communities towards self-reliance and development.

Healthcare professional and accomplished academician

Maj Gen Prof Dr. Najm us Saqib Khan, HI (M), T.Bt. (Retd.) is a distinguished healthcare professional and accomplished academician with an extensive career in medical education, clinical leadership, and healthcare management systems. Over the years, he has held prestigious positions in the Pakistan Army, Navy, PAF, and Bahria University, where he served as Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director General of Health Services. His expertise and vision were also recognized through his appointment as a member of the Prime Minister’s Health Task Force, a role in which he continues to contribute to national health policy and reforms.

Currently, he serves as Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and Principal of the Islamic International Medical College. As a member of the Executive Board of PRF, Dr. Najm us Saqib brings his vast experience in healthcare leadership and education to enrich the foundation’s initiatives. His guidance supports PRF in strengthening its educational mission, ensuring that programs are informed by both academic rigor and practical insight. He firmly believes in PRF’s vision of empowering communities through education and is committed to contributing his knowledge to help the organization achieve lasting impact.

Rao Saif ur Rehman

Businessman

Noman is a seasoned professional in Integrated Circuit (IC) Design and Information Technology, currently serving as the CEO of ICEDA IT Tech & Services — the official Cadence Channel Partner for the Pakistan region. He brings extensive industry experience from his previous roles at Cadence Design Systems, USA and Intel Corporation, where he contributed both as an individual contributor and in leadership positions.

Noman holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, as well as an MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago. In addition to his professional achievements, he is deeply committed to community service and education. He actively volunteers with several non-profit initiatives, including ULEFUSA (UETian Lahore Endowment Fund, USA), ULEFPK (Uplift Learning and Education Foundation, Pakistan), and ECW (Engineers for Community Welfare, Pakistan), where he mentors students and supports educational development.
